The Bob Turnbull Trust was established in March 2013 by the estate of the late Bob Turnbull, set up for charitable purposes to benefit the Ophir and Omakau communities. The Trust has one application period for grants per year. 

Bob was a long time Ophir resident when he passed away at the age of 82. He was a mechanical engineer by trade and his accomplishments most notably include his work done with the Hamilton Jet. His passion was for his vintage cars.
